Combat capabilities of upgraded MiG-29 aircraft are increased due to:
  • Use of extended range of precision air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons;
  • Implementation of mapping modes with low, intermediate and high resolution;
  • Output of coordinates of the detected ground-based targets for generation of target designation.

ARMAMENT OF SERIAL AND UPGRADED MIG-29 AIRCRAFT
NEW OPERATION MODES OF RADAR SIGHTING SYSTEM

New modes enable:
  • Use of RVV-AE air-to-air missiles with active radar homing heads;
  • Use of air-to-surface missiles with active radar homing heads intended to destroy water-surface targets;
  • Implementation of mapping modes with low, intermediate and high resolution;
  • Output of coordinates of the detected targets for generation of target designation.
Extension of combat capabilities by upgrade of N019 radar sighting system and independent radar channel.
ARMAMENT OF SERIAL AND UPGRADED MIG-29 AIRCRAFT
Detection of distant targets:
  • «Launcher» type target with radar cross-section 30 sq. m. – 40 km;
  • «Hangar», «railroad bridge» type targets with radar cross-section 1000 sq. m. – 150 km;
  • Water-surface targets in real beam scanning mode – 350 km.
 
EXTENSION OF NAVIGATION SYSTEM CAPABILITIES

Provides:
  • Input and storage of the data about route waypoints, airfields, radio beacons - up to 99 points of each type (in regular version - 6 points);
  • Generation and storage of the data about 8 routes (in regular version – 2 routes);
  • Automatic and manual change of navigation points during the flight;
  • Determination of cruise speed with 0.2 m/sec error;
  • Capability of ICAO standard navigation (VOR, ILS/DME);
  • Accuracy in determination of current aircraft coordinates with ± 5 m error (in regular version – 700 meters).

«Satellite» ECM protection suite is intended for ECM protection of the aircraft, whatever the type, from precision radio guided weapons launched from enemy airborne interception suites or air defense missile systems.

The system enables:
  • Transmission of the coordinates of the detected surface targets to ground-based command posts;
  • Control of aircraft position in the air;
  • Accumulation of flight parameters by surface operators;
  • Operational control of aircraft serviceability;
  • Assisting pilots in abnormal situations;
  • Flight personnel training;
  • Guidance against ground-based targets.

MONITORING SUITE OF UPGRADED MIG-29 AIRCRAFT POWER PLANT AND SYSTEMS

Monitoring and parameter registration system is intended to assess flights, condition of power plant and aircraft on-board systems.

The system enables:
  • Storage of parameters obtained from regular and newly installed sensors and systems of the aircraft on solid state carrier and detachable flash card of «Ekran» system;
  • Processing and express analysis of flight data related to condition of the aircraft power plants and systems;
  • Documenting and storage of the processed data in electronic, graphic and text formats.
