The purpose of modernization is creation of multifunctional Su-27 aircraft capable to perform a wider range of combat missions.

Main areas of modernization: 1. Increase in range of used aircraft weapons.
2. Implementation of new operational modes of Radar and Fire Control System (RFCS), including the modes of earth coverage and mapping.
3. Increase of accuracy and widening functional capabilities of navigation system.
4. Introduction of control equipment for engines and systems of Su-27 aircraft:
5. Installation of onboard real time data acquisition and transmission system.
6. Modernization of information field of the cockpit.
7. Usage of audio and video registration system of flight data from MFI display and outside area through HUD in manual and automatic modes in the real-time.
8. Installation of «Satellite» – the system of electronic countermeasures.
